Our Friend and designer extrodinair, Jacques Flynn, and his Jaqet line of wallets and leather accessories were recently featured on Coolhunting.com as well as a few other blogs and magazine features. Our friendship dates all the back to Art Center College of Design, back in the early 2000’s. Jacques or “Jack” as we call him, is not only the founder of Jaqet, but also a prominent Senior Automotive Designer at Mazda’s design studio, here in Southern California.
His leather goods are produced 100% by hand, either personally by him, or a small group of artisans working in his “atelier” garage. He sources the leather hides, custom stains and finishes, hand cuts, and sews using centuries old techniques to produce these contemporary masters.
Back in February, Jacques asked us to engrave some signage for his booths during New York’s and LA’s Fashion Week at the Carlton Hotel, NYC and SUR Lounge in West Hollywood. He supplied us walnut plaques and we engraved his branding and item names. The look melded well with the design language of his products creating a stunning display. During the events he launched their newest products the iPad Portfolios and the Flip wallet.
Check out all the products and colors on the Jaqet site or follow Jaqet on Instagram and Pinterest.
